  Update: Our youngest child is getting ready to start her kindergarten, & final, year here. After 5 years & 3 (very different) children sent through this school, we continue to be impressed with the whole school & staff. My youngest two started in the Toddler program. Our oldest child we sent to a public charter Montessori for Kindergarten, and sadly had a fairly negative experience which caused some lasting issues. So, we kept our 2nd child @ LCM for K, and it was well worth the investment (kind, friendly, WELL above grade level kid now). We are actually often complimented on our well-mannered, friendly, intelligent children and I KNOW a LARGE part of that is credit to the wonderful teachers & community at Lotus Child Montessori. Original review: Wonderful teachers, lovely small school. After spending a few days observing in the classroom, I was impressed enough to enroll our son. I have continued to be impressed in the 7 months he has been attending. Our child had struggled some with adjusting to a classroom environment (had previously only been cared for by immediate family, possible sensory issues). The teachers (including the owner, Tamara) have been incredibly supportive, innovative in finding solutions to help my child succeed, and open, honest, and proactive in their communications with us. The school is sited in a quiet residential area, with a large fenced yard with tons of room for the children to run around. The school has grown exponentially in the time we have been there, and is currently near their maximum enrollment , including a new Toddler Program that opened this year (which is the only reason I can think of for the poor review below). Most importantly, I have been impressed in the growth & development I have seen in my own child since he has been there, and continue to be impressed with the interactions I witness between the teachers & students. It is a constant reinforcement that I made a good choice in enrolling our child at Lotus Child Montessori, and I look forward to the day when our youngest is old enough to benefit from the school's influence as well.
